Made in Germany. These vintage plastic decal stones go by many different names. They are also known as porcelain paintings and as cameo picture stones. Each flat back stone has a decal image applied to the top surface of a smooth buff top cabochon base, then a protective lacquer coating is added for further protection of the decal. In some cases, due to the way the decal sheets are prepared, the pictures are only available as assortments of different images. Due to lacquer and decal coloration, background shades may vary.
